Condition
Neurodegeneration
Neurodegeneration is the gradual loss of nerve cells and their connections in the brain and spinal cord, as seen in conditions like Alzheimer's disease. Among supplements, TB-500, a peptide related to thymosin beta-4, has drawn attention, and preclinical studies found it lessened neuronal damage and helped neural stem cells migrate. The evidence is very limited, though, because the work was small and mostly in animals or lab studies.
