Liver Fibrosis
Liver fibrosis is a buildup of scar tissue in the liver, which happens when long-term injury or inflammation switches on stellate cells that lay down too much of the fibrous material between liver cells. Among supplements, TB-500, a synthetic version of a thymosin beta 4 fragment, has the most to show so far, and lab models found it calmed those stellate cells and reduced scar-tissue buildup. The evidence is limited, though, because the work was mostly in animals or cell studies, so it says little yet about what happens in people.
