Clary sage is an aromatic herb whose essential oil is used in aromatherapy, and its scented compounds are thought to act on the nervous system to promote relaxation. People mostly look at it for urinary incontinence, and the evidence there is limited: in one small trial of women having a bladder examination, blood pressure improved after inhaling it. That study was small, with 34 women, and it measured blood pressure rather than bladder symptoms, so it says little about incontinence itself.
