Microangiopathy
Microangiopathy is disease of the body's smallest blood vessels, most often in diabetes, where long-term high blood sugar, oxidative stress and inflammation damage vessel walls and reduce blood flow to the eyes, kidneys and nerves. Among supplements, a ginkgo study found better microcirculation, and gotu kola research found blood flow went up. The evidence for both is limited, though: the ginkgo study involved just 32 elderly patients, and the gotu kola work was small too.
