European raspberry is a red berry rich in plant compounds like anthocyanins, which work as antioxidants. People look at it for metabolic health, yet the evidence is very limited: a review found no clear difference in blood glucose or C-reactive protein. That rested on one small study of nine people, so it says little about larger or different groups.
