Cotton seed is the seed of the cotton plant, a source of oil and protein used in foods and animal feed. Research has looked at it mainly for breast milk production, and a small study of 45 women found milk production went up. Because the study was small and the evidence is limited, it is too early to say how well that result holds for other mothers.
