Central Diabetes Insipidus
Central diabetes insipidus is a condition in which the brain doesn't release enough vasopressin, the hormone that tells the kidneys to hold on to water, so the body passes large amounts of dilute urine. Desmopressin, a lab-made version of that hormone, has the strongest evidence, and studies found it sharply reduced urine output and brought fluid balance back to normal. It is a medicine rather than a supplement, and the research comes from many studies, so a doctor guides its use.
